IMAC - International Mediation & Arbitration Center

As business is increasingly conducted across borders and between parties of different nationalities, international mediation and arbitration are becoming vitally important and efficient methods of dispute resolution.  Many parties prefer to have their disputes resolved by mediation or arbitration rather than allow the courts in one party’s home jurisdiction to determine their rights and obligations through an expensive and lengthy process.

Founded and directed by Paul J. Wright, an English Barrister and California Attorney with an extensive commercial litigation background, IMAC (International Mediation and Arbitration Center), based in Malibu, California, was formed to mediate and arbitrate international as well as domestic commercial disputes.  The nationwide IMAC panel is comprised of distinguished Retired Federal Court, Court of Appeal and Superior Court Judges and prominent attorney mediators and arbitrators with expertise in international trade, banking, entertainment and media, insurance, intellectual property, aviation, shipping, sports law and other key commercial activities.

IMAC has formed an association with ACI (A Commercial Initiative for Dispute Resolution), a leading Alternative Dispute Resolution service provider in London, England, whose panel of mediators and arbitrators is comprised of 120 senior barristers, solicitors and former judges with parallel expertise in all types of commercial disputes.

The association with ACI enables IMAC to provide a joint panel of mediators and arbitrators with expertise in the relevant specific areas of legal practice on either side of the Atlantic.
